Hello. I’m Barbara and I am the Nursery Manager at Monkey Puzzle Stafford. My team and I are dedicated to giving every child the best start in life by caring for and supporting them to play, learn and grow in a positive and stimulating environment.

As soon as we open the door, you become part of our extended family. Your views, opinions and feedback are important to us, as we start our journey together.

Praised in our 2025 Ofsted report

Monkey Puzzle Stafford’s most recent Ofsted report was published in November 2025, confirming that safeguarding standards were fully met and children’s safety and wellbeing remain a top priority. The nursery achieved Expected Standard across five key areas of inspection, alongside a Strong Standard in one area, reflecting the high-quality care, learning and support provided by the team. Our passionate, highly qualified team brings learning to life through a play-based curriculum that goes beyond the Early Years Foundation Stage. Each child self-selects their dedicated key person, building secure relationships that support confidence and independence. Through our Famly app, parents can follow every milestone in their child’s Learning Journey, capturing magical moments from babyhood through to preschool as we prepare them for their next big step.

At Monkey Puzzle Stafford, enriching experiences come as standard. Daily extra-curricular activities are included in our fees, alongside freshly prepared meals cooked on site by our in-house chef, Pampers nappies and wipes, and access to spacious outdoor play areas designed for each age group. From 7:30am to 6:30pm, 51 weeks of the year, we provide exceptional value wrapped in outstanding care.

We’re proud to offer something truly unique – an annual in-house vision screening service delivered by our resident optometrist. Early detection of vision concerns is crucial for a child’s development, and this added layer of care gives parents extra peace of mind. Alongside our calming tropical aquarium, which enhances learning and wellbeing in our Baby and Preschool rooms, we create an environment that nurtures both health and happiness.

Healthy Eating

As children grow, a healthy and balanced diet is key, and we inspire with a variety of colour, texture, and taste to expand their food experiences.

Seasonal and local produce are also important in helping children understand more about where food comes from and nutrition.

Having Cody come to nursery really gave the children a boost. They loved playing with him, getting him water to drink, doing table top activities and they all loved story time.
